Scottsville is a city in Mitchell County, Kansas, United States. The population was 21 at the 2000 census.


Scottsville is located at 39°32′34″N 97°57′13″W / 39.54278°N 97.95361°W / 39.54278; -97.95361 (39.542783, -97.953746)[3].

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.2 square miles (0.6 km²), all of it land.


As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 21 people, 8 households, and 7 families residing in the city. The population density was 83.9 people per square mile (32.4/km²). There were 12 housing units at an average density of 48.0/sq mi (18.5/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 90.48% White, and 9.52% from two or more races.

There were 8 households out of which 50.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 75.0% were married couples living together, and 12.5% were non-families. 12.5% of all households were made up of individuals and none had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.63 and the average family size was 2.86.
