Stonewall County is a county located in the U.S. state of Texas. In 2000, its population was 1,693. Its county seat is Aspermont[1]. The county is named for Stonewall Jackson, a general of the Confederate States Army.



According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 920 sq mi (2,383 km2), of which 918 sq mi (2,378 km2) is land and 2 sq mi (5 km2) (0.17%) is water.
