Union County is a county located in the U.S. state of Mississippi. As of 2000, the population was 25,362. Its county seat is New Albany[1]. Union County received its name, by being a union of pieces of several large counties.



According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 417 square miles (1,080 km²), of which, 415 square miles (1,076 km²) of it is land and 1 square miles (4 km²) of it (0.35%) is water.
