Walloons (English pronunciation: /wɑːˈluːnz/; French: Wallons, IPA: [walɔ̃]; Walloon: Walons) are a French-speaking people who live in Belgium, principally in Wallonia. The population is of mixed ancestry; aside from French, it has Germanic and/or Celtic origin. More generally, the term also refers to the inhabitants of Wallonia. They speak regional languages such as Walloon or Picard.
