Walworth County is a county located in the U.S. state of South Dakota. As of 2000, the population was 5,974. Its county seat is Selby.[1] The county is named after Walworth County, Wisconsin.[2]

Geography

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 744 square miles (1,928 km²), of which 708 square miles (1,833 km²) is land and 36 square miles (94 km²) (4.89%) is water.

Townships

The county is divided into two areas of unorganized territory: West Walworth and East Walworth.
