Warm Springs is a census-designated place (CDP) and an unincorporated community in Jefferson County, Oregon, United States.[3] Located on the Warm Springs Indian Reservation, the community is also known as the "Warm Springs Agency." The population was 2,431 at the 2000 census.

Geography

Warm Springs is located at 44°45′37″N 121°16′06″W / 44.760168°N 121.268233°W / 44.760168; -121.268233Coordinates: 44°45′37″N 121°16′06″W / 44.760168°N 121.268233°W / 44.760168; -121.268233 (44.760168, -121.268233).[4] The community is situated at 1,539 feet (469 m) above sea-level.[3]

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 42.7 square miles (110.6 km2), of which, 42.5 square miles (110.1 km2) of it is land and 0.2 square miles (0.5 km2) of it (0.44%) is water.

Demographics

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 2,431 people, 603 households, and 507 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 57.2 people per square mile (22.1/km2). There were 642 housing units at an average density of 15.1/sq mi (5.8/km2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 2.47% White, 0.08% African American, 93.46% Native American, 0.08% Pacific Islander, 1.11% from other races, and 2.80% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 6.50% of the population.
