Winslow is a city in Washington County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 399 at the 2000 census. It is part of the FayettevilleSpringdaleRogers, AR-MO Metropolitan Statistical Area.



Winslow is located at 35°47′55″N 94°7′53″W / 35.79861°N 94.13139°W / 35.79861; -94.13139 (35.798546, -94.131381)[1].

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.9 square miles (4.9 km²), all of it land.


As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 399 people, 148 households, and 108 families residing in the city. The population density was 209.3 people per square mile (80.7/km²). There were 170 housing units at an average density of 89.2/sq mi (34.4/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 91.48% White, 1.00% Black or African American, 2.01% Native American, 0.75% from other races, and 4.76% from two or more races. 0.75% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There were 148 households out of which 31.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.8% were married couples living together, 8.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.4% were non-families. 22.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.70 and the average family size was 3.18.
