Communiversity 2012 was a great success thanks to the many great volunteers, shows, environment, and visitors we had! The day was full of fun, food, and friends. Check it out for yourself below!

In 2012, a young and inexperienced Princeton Men's Basketball Team stood at the edge of an 0-2 season. After back to back to UPenn by two points in both games, it looked as though there was no hope for this team.

But the young team rallied. Training and working together, led by their veteran leaders and fueled by young energy, they entered the Lehigh Valley Chinese Basketball League tournament with a blank slate, along with eight other teams. Three grueling games later, with victories over John Hopkins, New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), and powerhouse Steven's Institute of Technology, our team found only UPenn standing in the way of its first championship. Everyone pushed to the furthest of their physical and mental conditions, and players sacrificed their bodies, but 40 minutes later, Princeton stood triumphant with a thrilling 37-35 victory over their old rivals. Champions.

Congratulations to the team! Next year, we look to take the NECBL crown, a tournament of 20 teams this year. If you're interested in joining, please e-mail either Zhao Peng, Matt Chang, or Zhang Zhuo.

The Communiversity is an annual town event which closes off traffic on Nassau Street and opens PU front campus for the over 20,000 participants from surrounding communities. For the campus part, many student organizations will participate. This year, the event takes place on 4/24, noon through 5pm. ACSSPU, together with other student organizations, were invited to form a Global Village to showcase the cultural diversity and richness of PU students. We prepared the "Chinese Tables" with various activities:

(3) Charity sale to support Yushu Earthquake area

Chinese Tables were quite successful at the communiversity and attracted a lot of residents. In particular, the session of "Chinese Names" were very popular. Thanks to all the staff's efforts, we thought of quite a few beautiful and meaningful Chinese names for the participants.

All the income from the charity sale, donation, and "Chinese Names" session would be donated to help people who suffered the Yushu Earthquake. We raised $402.63 on that day's event.
