Hello! If you've made it to this page, it probably means you're looking to find out more about me. Whether this is because you're looking to hire me, you are my roommate's overprotective mother out to make sure I'm not a serial killer (don't worry, I'm not), or something else entirely, you've come to the right place. This page is still being written, so it's not complete, but here's at least a little bit about me.
History
I am originally from the western suburbs of Chicago, and I was raised on a farm in rural Indiana where I graduated validictorian from Fountain Central Jr./Sr. High School. I came to Princeton University in 2009 where I am currently a junior seeking a Bachelor's of Art in Computer Science.
Skills
- Programming I have a good amount of experience with:
- Java
- Android - I currently work on an Android app; see the projects page
- PHP (mostly version 5)
- CakePHP - an open-source PHP framework
- C (though not as much as Java and PHP)
- HTML/XHTML/XML/CSS
- ML - (specifically SML/NJ)
- I am also working on learning JavaScript and jQuery
- Java
- Systems Administration I have experience working with:
- Apache (version 2) including HTTPS sites
- GNU/Linux (Debian/Ubuntu)
- MySQL
- Multimedia I was a video editor/producer for several years and worked extensively with the Sony Creative Suite (Vegas Pro, Sound Forge, ACID, and DVD Architect)
Interests
Obviously I like computers, but in addition, I love the outdoors. Canoeing, rock climbing, SCUBA diving, caving, skiing, white-water rafting, and backpacking trips are just a few of the things I have done. I am a leader in Outdoor Action (Princeton's outdoors program for incoming freshman), and I work at the climbing wall.
