Welcome to the Oobleck Camp 2007 Website
This is the website dedicated to the lovely group of people attending burning man in 2007.
Whether you're attending or not, I hope you find useful and informative information here. Take a look under photos for the ones we took last year, or go to the afterburn page and read logs and interesting theorizing (soon!) about the festival.
Most importantly, look at the Art Description page. Here you'll find information about why and how we are doing an art project this year, and videos about what it is. We are making a tub of the Non-Newtonian Fluid Oobleck. Oobleck is a Shear-Thickening fluid, which means that its viscosity increases with shear, or force parallel to surface. The theory is complicated, so look at the description page for more information, but, essentially, Oobleck violates Newton's Continuum Hypothesis.
