Jan Sensei has been practicing Kokikai aikido since 1991 under the instruction of Dan McDougall Sensei, 5th dan.  She has also received instruction during this time directly from Kokikai founder, Shuji Maruyama Sensei, in the classes, seminars, and camps he offers in the U.S. several times a year.

In addition to teaching at the PU club, Jan Sensei teaches a kids and teens aikido class at the Princeton YWCA.
