Funds for Academic Work

The Class of 1939/Fred Fox Fund

Purpose:
Academically oriented projects related to applicant's course of study or for academic help not available at the University.

Eligibility:
Undergraduates

Procedure:
Interview, application form, sponsor's supporting letter, letter of recommendation from advisor for academic project and submission of costs.

Deadline:
December 5 and March 15


The Class of 1984 Memorial Fund

Purpose:
Academic projects of all kinds

Classes of 1942 and 1992 Horton/Elmer Fund

Purpose:
Unanticipated personal needs and development of Sr. thesis.

Procedure:
Initial screening with Office of Dean of the College, then Thomas Huntington (609-924-5390). Application required for thesis help.

Class of 1955 Fund and Roundtable Fund

Purpose:
Senior thesis research expenses

Procedure:
Submission of senior thesis proposal, including a tentative budget, to the senior thesis advisor and a letter of support for the proposal from the senior thesis advisor

Class of 1991 Fund

Purpose:
Senior thesis research, independent work and community service summer internships

President's Fund for Study Abroad

Purpose:
Summer study abroad in a structured program.
Language study particularly encouraged.

Non-Senior undergraduates who are on need-based financial aid

Procedure:

Ongoing, starting March 1. Awards made on a rolling basis.

Chapel Fund

Purpose:
Emergency medical expenses; hardship/personal emergencies; volunteer and charitable activities
