Identification method: Dancers employed in the ten professional ballet companies existing in the United States in 1966-1967.
Sampling procedure: Non random stratified (by sex and company position) sample of dancers was approached for personal interviews based on availability.
N and Response rate: 97 percent (146 of 150). Author reports approaching for interviews only dancers he believed likely to be willing.
