Introduction to the concrete canoe:
Concrete Canoe is an American Society of Civil Engineers sponsored competition between student chapters of ASCE. Students compete in regional competition, the winners of regional competitions then move on to nationals.
In 2002, Princeton competed in the Metropolitan region against Polytechnic University (the host school), City College of New York, and Rowan University. Our boat's name was the Nassau Hull, a play on the name of a well known campus building.
To find out more about the canoe read the FAQs, this list is based on the many questions that we received from friends, dormmates, and just about everyone else as we were building the canoe. The FAQs were created as part of the competition presentation by Chris Bobko, I've modified it slightly.
