Microsoft Research, Hewlett Packard, Sun Microsystems, and
IBM are providing funds for a number of travel grants for students to
attend
ASPLOS 2006. Grants may cover transportation, symposium registration,
and
lodging (limited to the night before and the nights of the symposium
itself,
but not meals). The size of each grant may be limited due to budgetary
constraints. In particular we may set different limits based upon the
level of
involvement (symposium speaker vs. coauthor vs. workshop speaker vs.
attendee,
for example).
The application deadline is September 25th,
2006 and recipients will be notified approximately one week later. If
you receive a travel grant, you will be asked to write a
one-page report on your impressions of the conference. Actual checks
will be
issued at the end of the conference and upon receipt of your report.
You may be
required to produce proof of full time student status before the check
is
issued.
Grant application forms are available here.
