SpeechSaver

What is it?

SpeechSaver not only says what you type, it saves the speech output to a Mac sound file (only the for the 3 "GalaTea" voices, though). Its key functionality is due to Lawrence D’Oliveiro's Hypercard Speech Utilities, a set of XFCN and XCMDs, which REALbasic can use.

Who's using it?

Students of Dick Aslin requested it and are probably using it, to provide stimuli for infants in their study of language development.
