Ryszard Grygiel

Since 1991, Ryszard Grygiel has been Director of the Museum of Archaeology and Ethnography in Lódz, Poland, where previously he had been head of the Neolithic Section. He received his M.A. (1974) from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, and his Ph.D. (1980) and habilitation (1986) from the University of Warsaw. His publications include many articles and monographs, including "The household cluster as a fundamental social unit of the Brzesc Kujawski Group of the Lengyel Culture in the Polish Lowlands" (1986), Pierwsi Rolnicy (1980), and Zarembowie z Jarocina w Swietle Zródel Archeologicznych i Historycznych (1992).
