I am currently a postdoctoral research associate at the Office of Population Research at Princeton University and project manager of the National Longitudinal
Survey of Freshmen (NLSF). I hold an M.Sc. in Economics and a Ph.D. in Social Sciences from the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, Spain.
My work focuses on the linkages between education systems, labor markets and the socio-economic attainment of first- and second generation immigrants, the linkages between immigration, income distribution and inequality, the educational underachievement of ethnic and racial minorities, and the
relationship between social background factors and health outcomes.
I have used a variety of survey and administrative data sources in my work, including the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health (Add Health), the
National Longitudinal Survey of Freshmen (NLSF),
the European Community Household Panel (ECHP), the German Socio-Economic Panel (GSOEP), the
German microcensus, and Danish administrative data.
