Butler Yoga at Princeton University

Butler Yoga is a registered club with the Graduate School of Princeton University. Our classes are held at the (newly remodeled!) New Graduate College Community Room at the Graduate College. Classes are offered by session (not as drop-in classes), and are paid at the start of each session. There are three sessions per year, roughly aligning with the university calendar (Fall, Spring, Summer). All current Princeton University graduate students and their family members are eligible for Butler Yoga classes.

This year (2017-18) Butler Yoga has received generous support from Princeton Univeristy Campus Recreation. Practically this will mean reducded fees for all participating graduate students. According to the conditions of this funding, family members and Post-Docs are still welcome to enroll, but will be asked to pay the full fee.

Goals of Butler Yoga

Our guiding goal is to provide the highest quality yoga instruction at a price that's affordable for graduate students. We seek out great instructors to teach each of our classes whose styles range from fast-moving, flowing sequences to deliberate, alignment-focused instruction. With the help of our volunteer organizers, costs are kept low, in part through a system of pre-payment for the 12-20 week sessions. Space in the classes is always limited, and demand always exceeds our capacity. As such, we do our best to accommodate as many yogis as possible.
