    Tokugawa Art Museum: A wonderful collection based in Nagoya. Many of the best scenes from a famous 12th century handscroll illustrating
    The Tale of Genji are preserved here and can be viewed from their web site. (Information in Japanese and English). The Gotoh Museum in Tokyo is the other major holder of illustrations from the oldest extant illustrated Genji handscroll.
