About Culturally Cap

The Culturally Cap program was started at Cap and Gown several years ago in appreciation of the fact that there's so much that Princeton and the club have to offer its membership beyond meals and a social environment. In the past, the staple of the program has been an ongoing dinner series where leading members of the university community have come to discuss everything and anything over a casual meal in the library. Inviting figures such as President Tilghman not only benefits our membership through her insight, but it shows the community that Cap and Gown is part of the academic environment of Princeton

The program is in the process of expanding, providing our membership with new opportunities. Everything from movie nights to trips around campus to the art museum and McCarter Theater are in the works. Additionally, off-campus trips to New York and Philadelphia for sporting events and sight-seeing tours will provide our membership with experiences well beyond 61 Prospect.

To put it frankly, we want you to be involved!

Coming back to campus? Let us know! Whether it's just to tailgate or so you can informally meet with a member or two from the club in order to swap Cap stories, or, even better, come to dinner with a group of us, we'd love to have you back. The dinner series that we've already successfully initiated with Princeton community members would be a lot more interesting with Cap and Gown's own coming back for an informal meal!

Have a child/grandchild/great-grandchild looking at Princeton? Let us know! Whether it's just a phone call to discuss the generalities of the school or if they're visiting and want to see what the best club on the street has to offer, we'd be glad to help in any way we can.

Do none of the above pertain to you? Well keep surfing the website! Check out the pictures (they're updated quite frequently) or order some Cap gear. Hopefully the website will help to bring back the memories of when you were here!
