Arnab currently works at Internet Services Research Center within Microsoft Research. Prior to that he has worked as a developer in CloudOS Infrastructure team (in products like PowerShell DSC) within Windows Server and System Center at Microsoft. In September 2012, Arnab graduated with a PhD from the Dept. of Electrical Engineering at Princeton University. He graduated from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur at the top of his class with Dual Degree (B.Tech and M.Tech) majoring in Computer Science and Engineering in 2007.

In his dissertation research, along with his thesis advisor Prof. Sharad Malik, Arnab has looked into the problem of detecting errors in multi-threaded software through runtime and predictive analyses.

As a graduate student, Arnab has interned at companies like Synopsys, NEC Labs and Intel. Moreover, he was a visiting researcher twice at University of Aachen, Germany during his undergraduate program at IIT Kharagpur. He has more than ten publications in internationally reputed journals and conferences. Arnab is the recipient of Gordon Y. S. Wu Fellowship from Graduate School at Princeton University. In his free time Arnab loves to cook and hike in nature.

Before going to college he has spent few wonderful years at his residential school at Ramakrishna Mission, Narendrapur.
