Christopher A. Sims, Co-Director
Biography

Christopher A. Sims is the John J. F. Sherrerd '52 University Professor of Economics at Princeton University, where he has been on the faculty since 1999. He also has held teaching positions at Harvard University, University of Minnesota, and Yale University. His main areas of research include econometric theory for dynamic models and macroeconomic theory and policy. Together with Thomas Sargent, Berkley Professor of Economics and Business at New York University, Sims was awarded the 2011 Economics Nobel Prize. He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences and has served as a visiting scholar at several U.S. Federal Reserve Banks and at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve. He earned both his A.B. in mathematics and his Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University.
