About Us

Hi. Our names are Miriam Okun and Eve Glazer. We developed and put together this site as a term project for our CHM 333/GEO 333: Chemistry and the Environment class taught by Professor Thomas Spiro at Princeton University in the Fall of 2002.

Miriam

Who am I? Good question, I’m still trying to figure it out. Here are the facts though. I’m a junior majoring in the chemical engineering department here at Princeton (in other words I like to voluntarily subject myself to torture). In my spare time (haha) I am a member of the Princeton Charter Club, the E-Council, SWE, AIChE, club softball (before I broke myself). I am also an AST mentor for an 8th grader and an engineering school interactor. Don’t be fooled it sounds like more than it is. Originally I am from Canton, MA, a small suburb outside of Boston, where I live with my parents and my younger brother. I’ve spent the last 10 summers attending Camp Tevya, a summer camp in New Hampshire, as both a camper and a counselor. Check out my website, which will hopefully soon have something on it, especially now that I’m done with this website.

Eve

Originally from Scarsdale, New York, I spent the first eighteen years of my life in the Edgemont public school system, where I did way to many extracurricular activities. I have participated in everything from Model United Nations to student directing musical theater to playing field hockey. As a freshman at Princeton and a prospective civil engineering major, I only do one extracurricular, but I do it a lot. I play the trumpet with the Princeton University Band, Triangle Club, Sinfonia, and Klezmocrats. During my summers, I have interned with the New York City School Construction Authority in the strucural engineering division and John Ciardullo Associates, Architects and Planners.
