CIGS is a group of international graduate students that organizes events with an international flavor, of interest to graduate students. These activities and events provide opportunities for students to meet in a relaxed atmosphere, and also to gain exposure to different cultures. The activities that we have organized in past years include: ethnic dinners and parties to mark international holidays, events over school holidays (since it is generally the international students who remain on campus during that time), screenings of international movies, game nights, and various other activities. We also jointly sponsor various other programs and lectures on issues of international interest with related groups on campus. In addition, this coming year, we hope to address the needs and concerns of international graduate students through representation on committees in the university.

We would like to use this opportunity to invite you to join the Council during your stay at Princeton. We always welcome new members and are open to new ideas and input. If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact us by sending an e-mail to the netid "cigs". For more urgent matters, please contact us directly (see email addresses above).
