PLANT SUPERVISOR

JANUARY 2003

 

Degree:  BS Mechanical, Chemical or Civil Engineering

Years Experience:  3+

Salary:  to $60,000 plus (based on experience)

Location:  Multiple Openings VA, SC, TN, IL

Industry: Specialty Chemicals

 

Requirements: The incumbent must have a Bachelors in either Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with at least 2 years of supervisory experience.  The individual will have a proven track record of supervising all aspects of manufacturing of chemicals at plant level.  Executes management plans and achieves goals consistent with manufacturing products at the lowest possible cost consistent with safety and quality requirements. Candidate will have demonstrated skills with Computer and math basics, effective oral and written communication skills & leadership ability as well as ability to operate plant equipment.

 

PLANT MANAGER

 

Degree:  BS Mechanical & Chemical Engineering

Years Experience:  8+

Salary:  to $80,000 plus (based on experience)

Location:  IL

Industry: Specialty Chemicals

 

Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum eight to ten years experience in manufacturing operations. Will be able to manages production, maintenance, distribution, and storage activities of plant in accordance with company guidelines in the most cost effective manner consistent with quality, health, safety and environmental standards, rules, and regulations. The candidate will posses excellent written and oral communication skills, substantial knowledge of plant operating systems, strong leadership and interpersonal skills, knowledge of Human Resources procedures & computer literate.

 

RELIABILITY PROJECT ENGINEER

 

Degree:  BS Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering

Years Experience:  5+

Salary:  to $70,000 plus (based on experience)

Location:  NJ

Industry: Specialty Chemicals

 

Requirements: The qualified candidate must have a minimum of a Bachelors preferably in Mechanical Engineering; will consider  Chemical or Environmental Engineering, or a related technical discipline with 4-6 years experience in the chemical industry as a project engineer. Provides overall management, planning, administration, direction and guidance to plant locations for EHS issues including safety and loss prevention, industrial hygiene and environmental programs of the company to assure adherence with established corporate policies and procedures as well as federal state and local rules and regulations.  Also prepare and execute completion of projects under plant and corporate control to provide engineered solution to EHS issues.  Provide technical engineering support as required to plant personnel and to handle critical projects with a minimum of supervision. Candidate must have experience dealing with regulatory agencies & knowledge of pollution control & assessment methods.  Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels, demonstrated leadership skills, display independent judgment and initiative. Extensive travel required (40%-50%)

Process/Project/Plant Engineers

 

This position involves the application of process engineering expertise in the design, specification, construction, startup, and qualification of process equipment and process unit operations for the site. Other  responsibilities include technical planning, verification and validation analyses, cost and risk analyses, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for process systems improvements. Ensures the logical and systematic translation of requirements and constraints into process equipment solutions. Employs high level of knowledge in developing, applying and maintaining standards for manufacturing equipment systems.  Critical skills include ability to specify process equipment, instrumentation and materials of construction, ability to develop process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, material and energy balances as well as orchestrate project construction activities.  Must be well versed in cGMP requirements, change control, unit operation validation, development of policies and procedures, equipment and unit operation troubleshooting and all aspects of equipment project engineering work from initial specification through turnover to operations including drawing development/evaluation, factory/site acceptance testing, development and application of project specifications, conceptual design, detailed design, bid evaluation, installation, startup and validation. Experience with biopharmaceutical production processes from fermentation/cell culture through purified bulk is preferred. Candidates must be well versed in pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, well organized, able to multi-task in project environments, and skilled in technical communication, conflict resolution, collaboration, leadership and teambuilding. Requirements include a bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical engineering or mechanical engineering preferred) with experience in cGMP production environments or equivalent experience.

I am currently assisting a Consultants Group in hiring a permanent Validation Engineer to handle projects mainly for pharmaceutical groups in and out of state.

 

This is bona fide position that we hope to fill by the end of October.

The company needs a professional with IQ, OQ and PQ experience and familiarity with FDA, cGMP and 21CFR Part 11.  Their headquarters are in Central NJ.
