Benefits of Diffusion Control in Chemical Processes

Diffusion control plays a crucial role in a major commercial process for the production of para-xylene. The fundamental aspects of this process will be discussed. Diffusion control is also used in a commercial kinetic based oxygen/nitrogen PSA separation.  Recent work has shown high potential for the kinetic based separation of propene from propane using zeolites.
