Background

Nino Luraghi is an historian of Ancient Greece, specializing in cultural and political history, in Greek historiography, and in concepts of ethnicity in the ancient world. Among the most recent publications is The Ancient Messenians: Constructions of Ethnicity and Memory, that appeared with Cambridge University Press in 2008. Ongoing projects include a book on archaic Greek tyranny and a short study of archaic Greek alphabets.
