Professor Martin teaches ancient and medieval Latin literature. She has published Peter the Venerable: Selected Letters (joint edition) and articles on Hildegard of Bingen, John of Salisbury, and the classical tradition. In 1995 she was honored by the Women’s Classical Caucus for her contributions to feminism. Her current research focuses on the classical scholarship of John of Salisbury and on women writing Latin.
