EXAMS

Sight Exams

Sight translation from Greek or Latin. This examination may be taken, by arrangement, at the end of any term in junior or senior years; it will be graded pass/D/fail.

Senior Comprehensive Exam

The Classics Program: One three-hour exam is required. This exam concerns both Greek literature, history, culture and Roman literature, history, and culture. This exam is given during the Spring Final Exam period.

The Classical Studies Program: A three-hour examination designed by the thesis adviser, but intended to cover the entirety of the student’s program of study.  If the thesis adviser is not a member of the Classics Department, another Classics faculty member will be appointed to set the examination.  Exam date will follow shortly.
