Congratulations are in order to all involved with this year's first men's B team tournament.
Special notice to the Kent-Uritam brothers, Eliot and Jon-- both of them recorded their first ever kills and blocks in a real match.
Kudos to Freshman Alex Lim for his setting, GS Frank Swenton and freshman Dave Wang for passing and hitting outside. Zach Jarvis-Wloszek '99 for strong play at the opposite position.
Senior Azam Samanani also deserves recognition-- his hustle and ability to turn a game around set the tone for the day. (And he even played through our last match, before running off to Winter Formals, risking his girlfriend's wrath. Azam- did you get back to princeton on time?)
The team was seeded second after finishing pool play with a 6-2 record. Unfortunately, things didn't go our way during the semifinal match vs. Drexel.
Extra special thanks should be extended to Lisa Ward for going above and beyond the call of duty by driving to Widener. This allowed yours truly to enjoy a day with a team which played well, had a great attitude, and, by my standards at least, can be considered a success.
I hope all involved learned as much and had as much fun as I did.
