Double-Sided Printing

In the Print dialog box, click on Properties to bring up the duplexing options.

To print double-sided, click on the “Properties...” button in the Print dialog box.

Select a duplex option under Print on Both Sides in the Layout tab.

Then, choose the Layout tab, as shown on the right. With the “Print on Both Sides:” option, you can choose to flip the paper on the long or short edge.

If you need to set duplexing as the default, go to the Printers screen of the Control Panel.

When using an OIT cluster printer, double-sided printing should already be the default option. If you need the set the default option to duplex, begin by opening the Control Panel from the Start menu. In Vista, choose “Printer” under Hardware and Sound. In Windows XP, choose “Printers and Other Hardware”, then choose “Printers and Faxes.”

After selecting the printer you wish to change, click on Select Printing Preferences.

Then, select the printer whose default setting you wish to change. In Vista or Windows XP, click on “Select printing preferences”. Printing Preferences can also be reached by right-clicking on the printer. You will see the printer properties as shown in Step 2, above. Finally, set the desired double-sided printing option and click OK.
