Hello World!
My name is Christopher Mayo, and I am a Ph.D. candidate in the East Asian Studies Department at Princeton University, where I am doing research on pre-modern Japan. My dissertation is a history of religion and warfare during the country's transition from a medieval state to an early-modern nation.
Recent Activities
I recently published an article in the journal Nihonshi kenkyū 日本史研究, organized a panel and presented a paper at the annual Association of Asian Studies in Toronto, and I am currently finishing a chapter for an edited volume that will appear in 2013. In the upcoming 2012-2013 academic year, I will be a Graduate Research Fellow at the Center for the Study of Religion at Princeton University.
