Sight Translation: Lazy Youth サイトラ：働かず家事もせず若年無業者
I do sight translation (interpreting on the spot without any preparation in advance), consecutive interpretation (interpretation after each utterance), or simultaneous interpretation of the news every morning to keep up with current events and warm-up for work. World Business Satellite (WBS) provides video on their website along with scripts for some of them. Unfortunately, they don't archive their pages, so I've put the script of a news story from today below. Use the glossary provided to do sight translation.
働かず家事もせず 若年無業者 52万人
学校を卒業した15歳から34歳の未婚者のうち、就職せず家事もしていない「無業者」を集計した結果、52万人に上ることがわかりました。厚生労働省が発表した「労働経済白書」によるもので、いわゆる「無業者」は前の年より４万人増えていて、白書は「憂慮すべき問題」と警告しています。
