Online English-Language Bibliographies for Pre-Modern Japanese History
Below are some of the English-language bibliographies for Japanese studies that are available online. Although all of them contain valuable information, a few stand out for their wide coverage. Peter Kornicki's bibliography is comprehensive and regularly updated, with approximately 80 pages of content. The Columbia University bibliographies created under the guidance of Henry Smith are dated, but still valuable, especially as an introduction to the field.
