International Festival - celebration of all cultures
Program - International Festival '06 "Around the World in 30 days"

For the first time since its inception some 30 years ago, Princeton's International Festival will span the entire month of April, featuring 30 days of activities with international-themed performances, films, conferences and parties. Representing over 25 countries, the Festival will be a true celebration of ethnic and cultural diversity.
The Princeton International Festival, one of the largest student-organized events on campus in terms of scope and resources, will kick off with an opening ceremony at 8pm on Friday, March 31 at the Richardson Auditorium.
The focal point of this year's opening ceremony will be the international cultural shows. The cultural shows promise to mesmerize Princetonians with performing arts from around the globe, featuring 12 student performing bodies, including Triple 8, diSiac, Ballroom, TapCats, Kalaa, Capoeira, Naacho and Seasame Street Crew. From tap dancing to ballet, from ballroom dancing to martial arts ?the international cultural shows offer something for every palate. Another highlight of the opening ceremony is the international fashion show, which will showcase ethnic costumes from over thirty different nations and five continents on the runway. Professor Shirley M. Tilghman, President of Princeton University, will deliver an opening remark.
The opening ceremony is just a taste of what will be a month jam-packed with multicultural happenings that seek to both entertain and educate Princeton students on the topics of internationalism and ethnic tolerance. Some highlights of the month include a Film Festival that will focus on the issue of human rights and The Sustained Dialogue Campus Network Conference, with former US Ambassador Harold Saunders '52 as the keynote speaker. Other events will include parties, performances, conferences and lectures throughout the month of April.
