April 5 - Triple 8 Event: "The 888 Lounge", 10pm, Murray-Dodge basement. Free food + music!

April 6 - MSA Event: Renowned calligraphist Haji Noor Deen visits Princeton to speak, demonstrate and teach the art of Arabic calligraphy. 4-6pm, McCormick 101.

April 7 - SASA Holi Celebration. Holi is the spring Hindu festival of colors. As a part of the festival, people throw colored powder at each other and spray each other
with water to celebrate the spring. Come celebrate the Festival of Colors with SASA! Location: 1903 Courtyard

April 7 - APAHM Asian Festival, 9pm, Frist 100-level. Performances by Triple8, Kendo Club, Juggling Club, Wildcats, and activities such as sushi making and origami workshops. Delicious Asian dishes and deserts will be provided.

April 8 - Lecture on Medieval Hindu Poetry: Professor Benjamin Baer, Chair, Department of Comparative Literature. 2-3 pm, Frist 306.

April 10 - Princeton Hindu Satsangam and Office of Religious Life invite you to "Peace or Perish: There is No Other Choice", a conversation about spirituality and achieving International peace with Dada J. P. Vaswani, distinguished philosopher and humanitarian from the Sadhu Vaswani Mission in Pune, India. This event is the keynote lecture of a weeklong festival organized by the Princeton Hindu Satsangam entitled "Hinduism Week: A Celebration of Hindu Thought and Culture." We encourage students, faculty, and staff from all backgrounds to join us for what promises to be an interesting and substantive lecture. 7:00pm, Richardson Auditorium in Alexander Hall.

April 11 - Princeton Hindu Satsangam: Yoga and Meditation Session, taught by certified instructors from the Art of Living Foundation. 5:30-6:30pm, Frist Multi-Purpose Room, Section C (Frist Basement)

April 12-14 - The Troupe of L'Atelier, Princeton's French Theater Workshop, will perform its third and last play of the academic year, Moliere's beloved "Le malade imaginaire," directed by Florent Masse, in the Matthews Acting Studio of 185 Nassau Street on Thursday,

April 12, Friday, April 13, and Saturday, April 14 at 8:00 pm. The production will feature advanced L'Atelier students. In French, approximate running time: 1h40min. Reservations strongly advised at lecentre@princeton.edu

April 13 - SANGAM, 8-10 pm. SANGAM is SASA's annual South Asian Cultural show which features performances by student groups from Princeton as well as other
universities.

April 13 - Q&A: Coming OUT Queer & Asian at Princeton (APAHM event). Noon, 243 Frist. As the final program in our year-long coming out series, several LGBT Peer Educators will speak about the intersection of their identities of being Asian or Asian-American and out of the closet. Lunch will be provided.

April 14 - Kalaa presents: The Ramanaya. Kalaa, Princeton's classical Indian dance troupe, will present a full-length dance drama depicting the adventures of Rama, exiled from his kingdom, as he befriends monkeys and battles demons in order to save his captured wife. This performance of the ancient Hindu epic, the Ramayana, is the first of its kind ever to appear on Princeton's campus! 2pm, Frist Performing Arts Theater.

April 14 - Bollywood Night, 10pm - 2am, Quad. Come celebrate South Asian pop culture while snacking on samosas and dancing to the latest tunes from the world's largest film industry. Come early to win free t-shirts and awesome raffle prizes and be ready for an amazing night Bollywood style! The MSA is co-sponsoring this event with SASA and the Alcohol Initiative.

WEEK THREE

April 15 - Lecture: "The Exploration of the Great Rivers of Africa" by Pasquale Scaturro, geophysicist, adventurer, and expedition leader is one of the most successful and accomplished mountain and river expedition leaders in the world. He is founder and president of Exploration Specialists an international geophysical and exploration company. For the last 26 years he has managed geophysical oil and gas exploration and development projects in many of the most remote, dangerous and politically and technically challenging areas on earth, and has explored throughout North and South America, Africa, and the former Soviet Union. Pasquale Scaturro's talk precedes the opening of "To the Mountains of the Moon: Mapping African Exploration, 1541-1880," a map exhibition of the Department of Rare Books and Special Collections in Firestone Library, to which all are welcome. 4pm, Friend 101.

April 19-21 - UFO film showing: Last King of Scotland. Film Description: Based on the events of the brutal Ugandan dictator Idi Amin's regime as seen by his personal physician during the 1970s. Won Oscar. 11.15 pm, Frist Theater 301. Tickets $2.

April 27-28 - Princeton South Asian Theatrics presents: "Kiss me Kavita". Forbes Blackbox.

April 28 - Princeton Capoeira Annual Batizado Festival. In terms of the Batizado, this is Princeton Capoeira's our annual event where students gain new chords. Our masters from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil will come to Princeton along with famous capoeiristas from around the US to play a spectacular game of capoeira. This year we will have a short performance of other forms of afro-brazilian dance such as maculele and puxada de rede. The event is free with PUID and we encourage students to come to this unique capoeira celebration. 1.30 pm, Dillon gym multipurpose room
