This race is held annually at Lake Carnegie, Princeton. Last year (1998), Princeton won the Women's Lightweight 8+, Men's Lightweight 8+, and the Men's Heavyweight 8+, with the Princeton Women's Open team coming in 3rd out of 38 entries (behind VirginiaA and VirginiaB). All the Princeton Crew teams will be attending this race in Boston. Last year (1998), the Princeton Men's Youth 4+ won their race, with strong showings by many of the teams. Princeton came in second in the women's Youth 4+, and the Men's Championship 8+, 10 seconds behind the world champion U.S. men's 8! The Princeton Training Center posted a first in the Men's Championship 4+ and a second in the Men's Lightweight 8+ (with Princeton coming in 3rd in this race). Notable other races were the Tiger Women Lightweight 8+ which posted a 3rd place in their race, and the Men's Lightweight 4+ which came in 7th but was the 1st collegiate finisher - Yale was 10th.

A smaller contingent of the Princeton Crew teams will be attending this race in Philadelphia (all the freshmen, and a few of the other varsity squads). Last year (1998), the Princeton Freshmen Men's 8+ came in 2nd behind Penn (30 entries), and the Novice Women's 8+ team came in 3rd out of 31 entries behind Michigan and Syracuse.
