Elizabeth Metts '13
Elizabeth started dancing at the age of two at Boni’s Dance Center in The Woodlands, Texas. When Elizabeth was in first grade, she was introduced to competitive dance/drill team, which she was involved with until graduation from high school.
During her 12 years of competitive dance, Elizabeth was a member of several National Championship officer lines and teams, most recently with The Woodlands Dance Force. She served as an Apprentice at her studio and choreographed solos for younger dancers. She was a National Solo Finalist, State Solo Champion, and Regional Solo Champion. Elizabeth also won four National Champion Duet titles, three of which she shared with her younger sister and best friend, Allison. Elizabeth has taken classes in ballet, pointe, tap, lyrical, modern, and jazz at The Woodlands Dance Center and North Harris Performing Arts.
Elizabeth has also taken classes at Broadway Dance Center and from So You Think You Can Dance’s Travis Wall. She participated in numerous dance/drill team summer camps, where she was named an All-American dancer. As an All American, Elizabeth performed at the Capitol Rotunda in Austin, Sea World, the Capital One Bowl half-time show, and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Elizabeth is so eXcited to be dancing with eXpressions! She already feels at home and is looking forward to the next four years!
