Jessica Hsu '10
Treasurer
Jessica grew up in San Diego, CA and trained at North County Dance Arts in jazz for nine years and ballet for seven years. In her freshman year high school, Jessica joined the newly formed Dance/Drill Team, but after management problems she and other trained dancers left to form the Torrey Pines Dance Team. Jessica became captain of the newly formed dance group in only her sophomore year and stayed captain through her senior year.
Putting the team before all other work, she juggled the needs of dancers (most of them older than herself) and parents with an administration that hailed athletics but largely neglected the arts. The team hired coaches and adopted a new genre. As a senior, Jessica picked up hip-hop at team practices and encouraged the hip-hop at her own studio and now choreographs hip-hop. She left the team in very capable hands, as they know regularly win competitions and have both a Varsity and JV team. She has also danced at the Edge in Los Angeles. She happily headed to the Princeton where she was chosen for eXpressions Dance Company.
Outside of dance Jessica also is Charter Club Vice-President, a Senior Photographer for the Daily Princetonian, and active in Sustainability iniatives on campus.
