Kayley McGrath ‘12
Vice-President
Although Kayley has been dancing since the age of 3, her love and dedication to the art of dance really solidified as a preteen, when a mishap doing a pirouette in the living room jammed her foot right through the wall, leaving a (rather ugly) gaping hole resembling the shape of her foot (she still stands by the fact that it was not her fault). It became evident to her lovely parents that anyone THAT determined to finish a turn should pursue serious study.
Kayley trained at the Ann Mercedes Dance Center on Long Island for about 14 years in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, pointe, theater, and hiphop. She also studied in the city at the Broadway Dance Center under Frank Hatchett, Phil Black, Lane Napper, Kat Wildish, and Germaine Goodson, as well as attended the Dance Educators of America workshops and master classes on the Island. As a teen, Kayley was employed as a teacher and choreographer at her local studio, instructing young dancers from (barely toilet-trained) two year olds to (thankfully toilet-trained) young teens. A lover of the arts, Kayley also enjoyed performing in and choreographing plays for her high school. Now thrilled to be a member of eXpressions Dance Company, Kayley is so eXtremely happy to be surrounded by such fantastic dancers and even more fantastic girls!! Yay eXp!!!!
