Princeton GCCS Log August 19, 2006 1500 GMT GCT file: asap_0806_v14 Gliders under control: we05, we08, we09, we10 Coordination plan: Gliders we09 and we10 are assigned to travel counter-clockwise as a synchronized pair around the original middle (we09) and northern (we10) tracks. Gliders we05 and we08 are assigned to travel counter-clockwise as a synchronized pair around the southern/offshore (we05) and southern/inshore (we08) tracks. Coordination summary: the initial conditions for the new plan are challending since we09 and we10 are nearly co-located. Gliders we05 and we08 face extremely different flow conditions since the flow is equatorward offshore and poleward inshore. Glider OA Flow summary: there is a patch of strong equatorward flow in the southern offshore corner of the sampling domain and mild poleward flow along the inshore edge of the domain.
