How Do I Join? The Debate Panel is a subsidiary of the American Whig-Cliosophic Society, the nation's oldest political, literary, and debating society. Following an exhibition debate and mixers every September, Princeton students interested in joining the Debate Panel attend a few weeks of Novice Education and have the chance to go for free to several debate tournaments on the East Coast to practice and see whether debate is right for them. After the education, a few tournaments, and the chance to get to know the team better come tryouts: hopefully nothing more than the chance for hopeful Panel members to show how much they have learned. Students selected from tryouts become full members of the Panel, enjoying the right to be elected to debate tournaments in destinations like Bangkok, Dublin, and Singapore. How Can I Find Out More? Please contact the President of the Princeton Debate Panel, Zayn Siddique.
