who is invited?

weekly meditation is open to anyone and everyone
and you may come and go at any time

what do we do?

each session, we do 3 guided meditations, approximately 20 minutes long
starting at 9:30, 10:00, and 10:30 PM
with short breaks between each one

most of the meditations are mindfulness meditations
focused on breathing, awareness, and observation of thought

why?

for many people, meditation is an insightful and rewarding experience with long-lasting benefits

it is associated with long-term behavioral and brain alterations
and is thought to help with anxiety and depression

meditation instructions

(1) sit comfortably on a chair, cushion, mat, or the floor

(2) focus your attention on your breathing, optionally closing your eyes

(3) follow the instructions being spoken

(4) if your mind wanders, slowly bring attention back to your breathing

please enter and exit the room quietly

what do we provide?

we have a number of chairs, mats, and cushions available for seating

we also have tea and snacks
