Compiling and Linking External Interfaces

At the present time, the user routines are intended to be used only in stand alone (external) interfaces. The interface developers own routines, together with his main program must be compiled using the same options as the FEMGV libraries. He must also take a copy of the subroutine XINIT from the bottom of the FEMGV main program `femgv.f' which is supplied with all installations, and similarly compile it. To link the interface we suggest the linking script for FEMGV is copied, and modified by changing the reference to 'femgv.bin' to the interface writers' own main program, followed by 'xinit.bin' and his other routines and finally the rest of the FEMGV libraries. Messages of multiply defined globals at the linking stage should be heeded in case routines with the same name have been used in both the libraries and the interface writers own code.
