Job Control

The interface will normally create a type 01 job control card. A type 04 (BERFLHE) job control card will be created instead if any heat or prescribed temperature loads have been associated with the model.

For type 01 job control cards, the following control parameters are set : NRE=1 IRO=1 IPR=0 ICA=1
For type 04 job control cards, the following control parameters are set : ICA=1

Parameter ELT is then set to the highest order element in the model. Parameters NGA and NGS are set according to ELT using the table in Appendix VII of the BERSAFE elastic manual (Vol 2). Parameter NGS is not set for type 04 cards. Parameter STU is set to whatever material is associated with ELT. Where elements of type ELT have differing materials associated with them, STU will be set to the material encountered on the lowest numbered part. If the user has omitted to attach a material to the part, STU will be set to the first material which was defined. Parameter THI is set to the value associated with ELT. If no physical properties have been associated with ELT, THI will be omitted. Some example job control cards follow:
