Preface

This manual is a User Guide to version 3 of the FEMGEN to PAFEC Interface Program for use with linear static, frequency and transient heat analyses. The software described in this manual is compatible with FEMGV versions 4 and above and PAFEC level 6 and above. The interface program is incorporated within FEMGEN and when the PAFEC environment is selected some of the FEMGEN menus will be altered in order to allow access to PAFEC data types.

This new release of FEMGV with the PAFEC interface incorporates the following new features:

• Selection of PAFEC element types by name, on the command line, and in the FEMGEN menus.
• Definition of constraints by name (e.g. X, RX etc.).
• Definition of complex loading conditions.
