Analysis Dependent User Routines

Two more routines are needed in addition to the routines mentioned in the previous sections; 'userEL', and 'userIQ' (see Chapter 3 ). Routine 'userEL' is used to define the mappings between FEMGEN element variants and the actual element names of a particular analysis package. Routine 'userIQ' is used to define analysis dependent loads, material and physical property types.

When developing an internal interface to be called from within FEMGEN, both routines are used. When developing an external interface only 'userEL' is used, and the neutral analysis environment is used in FEMGEN. This environment is always present, and is very similar to that found in FEMGEN/FEMVIEW version 1.

Both 'userEL' and 'userIQ' routines can be partitioned according to the analysis type (which can be found by calling UANTYP). The list of analysis types that are available must be defined in a 'userAN' routine, see Chapter 3.
