EEB 211 is an introduction to the biology of organisms and populations. Topics include evolution and diversity of life, physiology of plants and animals, neurobiology and animal behavior, ecology, evolution, and conservation.

This course is ideal for majors and non-majors fulfilling the laboratory science requirement, and it counts toward requirements for entrance to medical school. The laboratories and lectures are designed to teach critical thinking by analyzing how science is done. Laboratory exercises illustrate and explore important topics in the lectures and reading.
