I am a doctoral candidate at Princeton University in the Department of Sociology and the Office of Population Research. My research interests include family, culture, fertility, social policy, and political sociology. My dissertation examines how remarkably different public discourses about birthrates and population developed in Great Britain and France from the end of World War II to the end of the twentieth century, despite their quite similar birthrates throughout most of the period.
